We work with
the best domestic hardwoods.

All wood is sourced from responsible domestic suppliers. No tropical hardwoods, no imported species.

Black Walnut
Rich chocolate-brown tones. Naturally dark with beautiful grain variation. The most popular choice for dining tables.
White Oak
Warm golden tones with distinctive ray fleck pattern. Highly durable and moisture-resistant. Great for countertops.
Cherry
Starts light, deepens to rich reddish-brown over time. Fine grain, smooth texture. Gets more beautiful with age.
Hard Maple
Light cream color, very fine grain. Extremely hard and durable. The classic choice for butcher block countertops.

How we make it.

01
Wood selection

We select boards for consistent color, grain direction and moisture content. Only straight, dry, defect-free stock goes into your piece.

02
Milling & glue-up

Boards are jointed, planed and ripped to width. Glued up in careful sequence to balance grain and minimize movement. Left to cure 24 hours.

03
Flattening & shaping

The glued-up slab is run through a wide drum sander and hand-planed flat. Edges are profiled, corners eased, any custom cutouts made at this stage.

04
Sanding & finishing

Sanded through 80, 120, 180, 220 grit. Finished with food-safe oil (for boards) or your choice of oil, hard wax or polyurethane (tables and countertops).

Common questions.

How long does it take to make a custom table?
Most dining tables take 2–4 weeks from order confirmation to delivery. Large or complex pieces (live edge, epoxy inlay) can take 4–6 weeks. We'll give you an exact timeline when you order.
Do you deliver outside NY & NJ?
Cutting boards ship anywhere in the continental US. Tables and countertops are delivered and installed only in NY & NJ. We do not ship large pieces — they need professional delivery and setup.
How do I care for a wood countertop or cutting board?
Boards and oil-finished surfaces should be oiled with food-safe mineral oil every few months. Avoid soaking in water and don't put in the dishwasher. Polyurethane-finished countertops just need a wipe down — no oiling required.
Can I order a custom size?
Absolutely — all pieces are made to order. Just tell us the exact dimensions and we'll quote you. Custom sizes are typically the same price as the nearest standard size, unless the dimensions are unusually large.
What's the difference between end grain and edge grain?
End grain boards show the cross-section of the wood (the rings). They're self-healing — knife marks close back up. Edge grain shows the side of the board. Both are beautiful and durable; end grain is more premium and typically more expensive.
Can you add a company logo or custom design?
Yes. We can engrave logos, monograms, family names, dates, quotes or any custom design on cutting boards. Contact us with your design file (AI, SVG, PDF or high-res PNG) and we'll let you know what's possible.
